Volunteering Terms & Conditions

Below, you can find the process and conditions to become a volunteer. Please read them carefully and agree to them before applying.

Process

  • Volunteers reserve their spot with a deposit equivalent to the value of the general pass. We will send instructions by email for reserving the volunteer ticket once we confirm your position.

  • If you have already purchased the general pass, no worries – let us know through the form or by sending an email to hr@parallelfestival.com.

  • We will refund the cost of your general pass/volunteer ticket once you have completed your shifts. Please note that we cannot refund the ticketing commission.

  • Failure to complete shifts, in addition to losing the deposit, may result in expulsion from the festival.

  • We compensate your valuable work with a free ticket. But please note that transportation or accommodation are not included (except free camping). For volunteers who assist outside of festival hours, we can offer support to manage transportation to and from the festival.

Cancellation Conditions

Your help is very valuable, and we count on it to carry out the festival. Please note that if you do not show up for your shifts or are unable to fulfill your duties, it creates a problem that can affect the experience of all festival attendees.

In the application form, indicate your preferred shift:

  • SET-UP: a total of 20 hours during the set-up of the festival, between Wednesday 22nd at 10am and Friday 24th at 6pm

  • FESTIVAL and DISMANTLING: a total of 12 hours between Friday 24th 1pm and Monday 27th at 4pm

  • ONLY FESTIVAL: a total of 12 hours between Friday 24th 1pm and Sunday 26th 10pm

Please note that you need to be available from the above start and end times if you choose that shift. If your availability changes after submitting the form, and you are no longer available for the selected shift, we may not be able to guarantee your volunteer spot due to limited availability in other shifts.

  • When purchasing your volunteer ticket, we recommend adding Weeztix’s cancellation insurance at the time of purchase, to receive a refund in case of illness or other justified emergencies.

  • If you have not purchased Weeztix’s cancellation insurance, the following cancellation penalties will apply (whether the cancellation is justified or not):

            - 25% penalty for cancellations between May 15 and June 15, 2026.

            - 50% penalty for cancellations between June 16 and July 16, 2026.

            - 100% penalty (no refund of volunteer ticket) for cancellations from July 17, 2026.

  • Under no circumstances can a person registered as a volunteer attend the festival without participating in their volunteer tasks. If a volunteer fails to provide the requested support, they will not only lose the refund but will also be automatically expelled from the festival.

Description of the assistance

  • Volunteering is an opportunity to experience Paral·lel from a different perspective, helping the organization with different tasks, which may include:

    • Setup of the infrastructure before the festival.

    • Helping with organizational tasks.

    • Assisting with logistics upon arrival (directions, parking, camping, etc.).

    • Helping coordinate bus departures.

    • Welcoming the public and supporting the InfoPoint.

    • Assisting with glamping check-outs.

    • Helping keep the festival facilities clean (Green Team).

    • Assisting with preparation of breakfasts.

  • Help is typically organized in 2 or 3 shifts, totaling 12 hours if you help during the festival and/or teardown. The volunteers helping during the set-up will be assigned shifts of 6-8 hours per day between Wednesday 10am and Friday 6pm, totaling a maximum of 20 hours.

  • When assigning tasks, we try to take into account the information you have provided regarding your experience, interests, and indicated availability. Please note that there is a wide range of tasks and schedules for which we plan to have help, and we need to assign them all - so we can't always guarantee a shift that suits your interests & skills.

On our part:

  • We will give you a volunteer t-shirt and wristband to identify you as such.

  • During your shifts, we will also provide you with a snack/sandwich and water to keep you in good shape. The number of meals will depend on the group of shifts you are assigned.
